I have a special place in my heart for told romantic movies and loved being whisked away to the glamorous world of stars such as Tony Curtis, Burt Lancaster and the beautiful Gina Lollobrigida.

After Mike Ribble (Burt Lancaster) – a top trapeze artist is tragically injured whilst attempting a triple somersault at the circus, he becomes close friends with Tino Orsini (Tony Curtis) who is determined to learn from the master on completing this amazing trick. Their friendship is then threatened by the arrival of stunning Lola (Gina Lollobrigida) – a beautiful acrobat who has her own agenda.

The atmosphere of the old style circus is captured amazingly well in this film and the aerial stunts are truly amazing – leaving you feeling that you were actually at the circus yourself! The film is non-stop, with not one dull moment and a storyline that will have you on the edge of your seat right through to a fabulous climax.

This is such a great movie and I feel massively under rated…  it should be up there with the classics…
