Travelodge Amesbury Review

Travelodge, Amesbury

Reviewed by Delphi Ellis

Based at Countess Services, the Travelodge at Amesbury is just a short distance by car from the ancient monument at Stonehenge.  It's ideally placed with historic sites including Marlborough and Avebury just half an hour away.  The rooms are basic (they make a point on their website of explaining why they don't have free shampoo in their bathrooms so they can pass the savings to the customer) and if you want a family room you have to make up the spare bed yourself.  This said, the rooms were tidy, functional and when booking for a special rate definitely value for money.  There is a petrol station and Little Chef on site although be warned, breakfast for an adult and two children came to £20.
