Vampires is based upon a documentary made following the lives of Belgium’s Vampire Community.
This is the third documentary as the first two ended in tragedy when the vampires killed the crew.
The third documentary was made on the understanding that the crew remained unharmed and allowed home safely after…
The films main characters are George the main vampire, his wife Bertha who seems a little crazy to say the least, Samson the too cool for school type of son and Grace the unhappy, wanting to die daughter.
Every aspect of the vampires lives are shown from feeding time to coffin buying.
George has 2 other vampires who live with him and his family, Bienvenu and Elisabeth but they are confined to the cellar which Bienvenu hates.
Elisabeth tells how she killed virgins, people and even her first born child.
I like the way it looks as if someone is holding a handheld camera during the film as it makes it look extremely real.
There are a few bloodthirsty scenes which made me jump and hide behind a cushion
The film is interesting but not one I would usually watch.
