War Games at the Mary Rose Museum Review
War Games
Mary Rose Museum, Portsmouth

On arrival at the Mary Rose Museum to see War Games we went to the reception desk with our tickets. We were given a red square of paper each (there were four colours). Intrigued we made our way upstairs where there were drinks being served.
We didn’t really know what to expect from the evening. A short while later we were called up into our colours, so us reds went with a guide to the first area where we sat down and watched a short re-enactment. Once that had finished we had a look around the artefacts in the area before moving onto the next area. We saw four re-enactments in total. The actors (wearing period costume) were very professional and engaging, they all cleverly linked into each other to tell a story.
The museum itself was excellent, well laid out and interesting and the guide was knowledgeable, it was great to ask him questions on the way round. I loved that we had plenty of opportunities to see the majestic ship in all her glory too.
The evening was something different and definitely recommended.
Thank you Mary Rose Museum for a wonderfully informative evening.
