Hyde Park has been turned into a Winter Wonderland for the Christmas season!
I went to Winter Wonderland with my family and it felt very festive from the minute we got there. This is London’s largest winter event and my husband, 2 sons and I had a blast. I was unable to go on most rides because I am nearly 30 weeks pregnant but my husband and children went on most rides. They were quite expensive but it was a lovely Christmassy evening out. It wasn’t too cold and plenty to walk around and see. The cost of food was really high so if you are on a budget, it might be better off eating before you go.
Winter Wonderland 2011 is back again for its 5th Year in Hyde Park, London. It is free to enter and there is also no charge to visit Santa Claus. There are lots of attractions, rides, a Christmas market and lots of food stalls so there s plenty to do and a large variety of things to eat.
There is Ice Skating (biggest in the UK), a Giant Wheel and Zippo’s Circus (daytime show for family) and Zippo’s Cirque Extreme (evening show for thrill seekers). See www.hydeparkwinterwonderland.com for details and ticket pricing. There are also some great children’s rides and thrill rides for older children and adults. Some of the more popular rides are Power Tower, Snow Jet and Winter Wonderland Express.
There is also a large Christmas market with lots of stalls. This is also free to enter.
Overall, stalls, staff and overall layout of the Wonderland were fantastic! We will be attending next year, and I will make sure I go on ALL the rides! Some things are expensive but was worth it as it was a great day.
A fabulous time thank you!
