Ant and Dec’s Limitless Win is a Saturday night TV favourite in our house when it is on. To keep up the fix when it is off-air you can now buy the Limitless Win game from Ginger Fox Games.

The study box has a photo of the duo on the front box so that you know you are in good hands! Inside there is a scroll that rolls out to form the Limitless Win ladder. This can be laid on the table or hung up if preferred. This is plastic coated and weighted so it is not likely to tear easily and is pretty stable. It is marked out the same as the board on the TV show.

The board game has everything you would expect to mirror the TV show.

To play you divide into two teams – so a minimum of two people can play and it is recommended that players are aged 8+. Each team has an answer dial where they can choose a number between 1 and 40 to reflect their answer and a score tracker (a blue arrow which sits on the Limitless Win ladder to show where you are up to). There is a gold cash-out button that sits between the two teams.

Each team also has one each of the Lifeline cards offering players the chance to improve their odds of getting a correct answer using them; Take Two, More Than, Range and Odd or Even. These are used when you reach the white spaces on the Limitless Money Ladder.

There are some digital features too – one feature you can use the internet for is the Life Builder. Scan the QR code in the instructions and this takes you to the questions. These will be read by the opposite team, and you have 60 seconds to get as many right and build up your “lives”. Alternatively, there are cards in the game you can use. We used both and the app was really good as it has the timer and score inbuilt so is handy. Whatever score you get here determines how many “lives” you have when playing the game.

The Limitless Win Cards are in three colours – blue, yellow and orange. There are a lot of cards and it is good to use elastic bands to keep them all together. These correlate to colours on the limitless win ladder – blue is easiest working up the ladder, then yellow, then orange, so the more money at stake the harder the question. They are standard trivia type questions that everyone can have a guess at, if you don’t know the answer, which is all part of the fun. The answer for the card is on the back of it so you need to be careful not to reveal the answer when reading!

Each team can answer the question and move their dial to a number. I liked this feature as everyone is involved in the game and it isn’t just one team at a time.

As on the TV show if they get the exact answer you bank the value. However, if you don’t get the exact answer then lives are lost equal to the difference. If your answer is more than the exact answer you are out of the game and lose all money. So for this reason it is a good idea to be a bit cautious with your answer.

Setting up the game and explaining the rules to those who hadn’t seen the TV show did take some effort but once we started playing and everyone had got the hang of it (which was quite quickly!) We didn’t have any problems at all.

If you are fans of Ant and Dec you will love being able to recreate the game in your own home with friends and likewise even if you have never seen them before it is a really great slice of family fun and a great way to get the teens off their phones and learn something too.

It took us around an hour to complete the game and everyone agreed it was fun for
