Zippos Circus Carnaval
On tour until November 2013

Today we went to see Zippos Circus presenting Carnaval at Blackheath, when we turned up the children were very excited to see the big top in the middle of a field. We went into the press tent and they were given a souvenir brochure, popcorn, candyfloss and a twirly light up toy, which increased their excitement, then we were shown to ringside seats.
The show opened up with the Delbosq clowns who came on throughout the show, they were very entertaining, especially the busy bee sketch they did! Norman Barrett MBE was the ringmaster and he also did an act with his budgies which we all found very comical, Nicky De Neumann came on a few times showing of her prowess as an amazing horsewoman.
The Havana Troupe very a really good act from Cuba who did some extraordinary stunts. The highlight for me personally was Hercules, he really showed off some skill as a strongman, especially when he had a telegraph pole across his shoulders with 4 people on it and when a van drove over his chest.
The Lucius team ended with the globe of death, which really made you hold your breath as they had 4 motorbikes going round in a globe, it was really exhilarating to watch, hoping that it wasn't going to go wrong!
There are a few options for seating, as the big top is quite cosy, I feel that you would be able to see from pretty much anywhere.
When I asked my children if they had a good day they responded with a big smile and said it was brilliant and gave me two thumbs up.
