I was sent a Hatch Project Kit and the one I received was the “Skyline Pallet Art” which is made by Dremel, I just thought they just made drills and such like but looking on their website they do so much more.
The kit comes in a sturdy box which also becomes your work surface, you just unfold the box into an easy clean-up work surface, large enough to have all the items you need at the sides and the instructions can be inserted into the lid for easy reference, so there is no mess and the box can be recycled when it’s finished with.
The kit comes with paint, brushes, sandpaper, palette, a rubber, a plastic alphabet and numbers stencil, carbon paper and two skylines; one is London and the other one is New York. Also, the pallet style board which you paint onto has a string on the back, so it can be hung up when finished.
Anyone from age 3 to 83 can have a go and there are instructions which gives a step-by-step guide, which is easy to follow. It would make a very unusual gift for anybody who has everything (especially with Father’s Day coming up) and something a little different from a well-known company who everybody must have heard of; DREMEL.
Looking on the website gives you ideas and photos of other people’s finished paintings before you start your own. They have thought of everything there is even a slot in the box to hold your phone to record your progress and take photos, how neat is that!!
There are enough items to be able to make another unique piece of art work, but you would have to source another pallet frame, so nothing is wasted. Children and adults alike would enjoy creating their own art work which is fairly simple but stunning and is very different. I have never seen anything like this before. It is quite expensive, but it would make a fun item to purchase if you are stuck for a gift idea for a craft loving person, or even something for yourself.
