Eat Sleep Doodle iPad Case Review

Reviewed by Lucy Knight

We have not long had an iPad and had not got round to getting a case for it yet. So I was delighted to be able to review the Doodle case for the iPad from Eat Sleep Doodle. I am really fussy with accessories and would rather go without than have something that isn’t worthwhile, but I really liked the look of this case. I found it really innovative and knew that the whole family could enjoy it.

I have a 5 year old daughter and an 18 month old son. They are both creative little monkeys which is in their genes with artists for a grandfather and uncle. My daughter lives in the land of fairies and unicorns and is constantly drawing all things pretty, her brother however just likes to scribble on everything. I loved the idea of having something practical that they could draw on then just bang in the washing machine and it’s fresh for them for a second round.

We went away for the weekend just gone and used the case to keep our iPad safe for the journey. My daughter found it more entertaining to draw little princesses on the iPad case than actually play her games on the iPad! That just shows how much of a hit it was.

When we arrived at the caravan, my partner and daughter spent hours doodling and making pretty pictures while my son tried to join in. The novelty of being able to draw on something other than paper was very attractive for my little critics.

The Doodle iPad case has graph paper on one side and lined file paper on the other. It had a little pocket at the top to hold business cards, but we use to write ‘Heidi’s iPad’ as this makes my daughter feel more involved. It comes with a set of 5 washable felt pens and has a little loop at the side to hold one of the pens. The quality of the case is very high, it is spongy and I know it is going to keep my iPad safe.

On returning home from our break, I put the case in the washing machine on a quick 30 degree wash for around 40 minutes and it came out pristine. I was very impressed as we have bought teddies that you can draw on and wash, but if they are not washed the same day as the drawing, the ink doesn’t wash out well.

I am really impressed with this item and have been having a nosy at some of the other doodle items on their website. I particularly like the washable bunting, I think this is a great idea as you can reuse it for different events. I love the whole concept and will definitely buy from them. I would recommended this product and rate it 5 out of 5.
