My husband, son and I visited Jimmy’s World Grill in Epsom on Sunday afternoon for a traditional roast dinner. The minute we walked in we were hit by a gorgeous smell of fresh food and spices sizzling and you could see it cooking right in front of you. We were seated really quickly and a high chair brought out within minutes for our son. The staff were really friendly and attentive without being over the top and we were soon introduced to our host for the afternoon. He took our drinks order and explained the buffet to us offering to show us around the various food sections which we declined as we wanted to browse ourselves.
There was a huge selection of foods from around the world centred around a large cooking area where chefs were cooking fresh starters and curries while you watched. It was really difficult to choose as there was the newly offered Sunday roast, Italian, Indian, Mexican and Chinese, plus various salads. There was also a selection of desserts with an ice cream machine which the children seemed to be enjoying.
My son was soon tucking into salmon, mash & veggies from the Sunday roast selection, I’m sad to say my diet when out the windows as me and my husband tried a bit of everything! The quality of the food was really excellent and at £10.99 for as much as you can eat was great value. The price goes up to £12.99 in the evenings, but this was still excellent value, drinks were reasonably priced too. I thought it was a particularly good way to eat out if your party has different food preferences, e.g. one likes pizza and one prefers curry.
When we had finished our meal the manager came to speak to us and asked our opinion of the Sunday roast, apart from the roast potatoes being with the pizza and not the roast we could not fault it.
The restaurant would suit anyone from couples to families and large parties. A fabulous time was had by all at Jimmy’s and I am sure we will return!
The Sunday roast is a great addition to the Jimmy’s menu, you will have to pop in and try it for yourselves.
The Traditional Sunday Roast is currently only available in the Epsom and Luton branches.
