On Saturday 29 October 2011 we decided to visit T.G.I Fridays in the Westfield Shopping Centre, Stratford . The restaurant is located on the second floor of the centre and is quite large with indoor seating inside the main restaurant and a small area outside and is their 50threstaurant and marks 25 years in the UK.
Upon arrival we were greeted by pleasant, friendly and smiling staff (all dressed up for Halloweeen). We were informed that there would be a 40 minute wait for a table for the 4 of us (it was a busy Saturday night) and given a pager which would vibrate when our table was ready. We went and sat in the bar area and ordered drinks. We had only been there for about 15 minutes before the pager went off telling us our table was ready. We were escorted to our table where the waiter came over and introduced himself and was very polite.
After ordering our food and more drinks including a very cocktail for 2 people to share, there was a long wait for our food but the waiter kept us informed and checked with the kitchen to give us updates. The only downside was that one of our 4 meals arrived 4/5 minutes after the rest but it was a very busy night and again the waiter kept us informed.
We ordered steak, chicken and their famous burgers and the food cannot be faulted. Even if you did not want to eat they have a very large menu of cocktails to choose from to enjoy a night out.
All areas were kept clean and tidy at all times and the staff are very friendly and helpful even singing Happy Birthday to a child a table near us.
We spent about £65 for 4 meals, drinks (including wine and a cocktail) and a very large desert that had to be shared as was too big for one person to eat. We felt that this was excellent value for money as were expecting the bill to be a lot more.
I would recommend T.G.I. Friday’s as the food is great, the prices are very reasonable and the service excellent and will be back again.
